David Shulick Challenging Positions

David Shulick is a Philadelphia lawyer, and the owner and counsel at Shulick Law. He established the firm in 1999 and provides legal services for individuals, executives, and corporations across a variety of business and legal sectors.

David Shulick is a 1994 graduate of the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University, where he received honors and awards. Wherever he has been, he has exceeded the expectations that were made of him. “I thrive in challenging, intellectually stimulating, and collaborative positions,” David Shulick says, “where I can apply my legal, litigation, real estate and/or corporate skills.”

Today, David Shulick wants to transition away from his private practice by joining another law firm, or a successful corporation as an in-house counsel. He already has extensive litigation, corporate, in-house counsel, and private practice experience. “I also have a keen ability to successfully network and build strategic relationships,” Shulick says.

David Shulick says that his life changed forever in 1991, when his mother died in a tragic automobile accident. “This experience shaped my life and career in many unique ways,” he acknowledges, “including the passion for making the most out of every opportunity I am presented with.” The tragedy occurred just as he was completing undergraduate studies at the University of Delaware, where he went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree with honors. He then entered Temple University law school as scheduled in September 1991.

His life was further complicated when he cared for his elderly grandparents, but he still managed to keep a high grade point average, which would likely have been higher without the personal difficulties he faced from the tragic death of his Mother, Judith.

David Shulick has significant personal injury, commercial and complex litigation and corporate law experience.

David Shulick graduated high school with honors, after which he enrolled at the University of Delaware. Following his Delaware graduation in 1991, Shulick enrolled at the acclaimed Temple University School of Law, impressing both his colleagues and his professors with his work ethic, self-discipline and perseverance. Always in the pursuit of academic excellence, he was awarded the Distinguished Class Performance Award, primarily for the demonstration of outstanding oral competency and analytical ability. Tragically, David Shulick lost his mother to a car accident during his undergraduate tenure at the University of Delaware, an event that, though a sad time in Shulick’s life, taught him an important life lesson: No One is Promised Tomorrow. Instead of letting the incident consume his life and take control over where he was going, Shulick asserted himself, using the tragedy, rather, as inspiration to push forward, persevere and face every challenge as if it were his last.

Shulick is now a successful corporate and litigation attorney, always ardently in pursuit of justice for his clients and for society.

David Shulick : Getting an Early Start

At the age of 21, David Shulick had earned his JD from Temple University and had gone on to become the youngest board member to serve on the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. For those who are unfamiliar with the organization, the “About Us” section of the PTLA’s official website describes the group as so:

“The Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association is an active professional organization comprised of civil and criminal litigation attorneys.  PTLA has been in existence for over 50 years and is the oldest trial lawyer organization in Pennsylvania.  The association is made up of lawyers who are dedicated to the preservation of the American legal system and the protection of the evolution of the common law through the efforts of individual lawyers who are pledged to achieving common goals.

The Association is noted for its educational influence and its goals of helping all lawyers to ultimately serve the interests of their clients in a fair and productive manner.  Accredited as a provider by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board, PTLA sponsors an outstanding Luncheon Lecture Series, as well as the numerous seminars of interest to trial attorneys.

PTLA also promotes legal education through its James J. Manderino Awards for Trial Advocacy which are awarded on a yearly basis to outstanding law school seniors.  PTLA presents an annual award in memory of Justice Michael A. Musmanno to an outstanding citizen who best exemplifies the ideal of the late Justice.
